ForeTV’s suite of industry standard RESTful API’s provides the ability to intelligently connect with third party data systems to allow the creation and update of essential meta-data held in the ForeTV database and used in downstream content preparation and scheduling tasks.
Astro: Malaysia-based satellite broadcaster and long term ForeTV supporter, is yet again forging a path to improved data integrity and systems workflow with the adoption of such processes within their content management processes and ForeTV has been right there to support this.
Astro are using ForeTV’s Restful API through web services to help ensure their extensive content libraries, centrally managed through ForeTV, are always up to date and correct. All externally administered or sourced programme, acquisition, rights and EPG meta-data can now be automatically populated into standard ForeTV library records, with any further updates or amendments also applied via the same processes. If required, and to further ensure data integrity, ForeTV also has the ability to lock these meta-data records, such that they can only be used in appropriate downstream processes, and cannot be directly amended through any manual intervention.
