MSA Focus continue to develop they’re awarding winning Broadcast Management Solution, ForeTV in the support of Malaysia-based satellite broadcaster Astro’s continued evolution.

Latest in a long line of workflow enhancements and feature developments, the introduction of a comprehensive new synchronisation interface from ForeTV to the TMD MediaFlex MAM (Media Asset Management) system, further demonstrates Astro’s confidence in ForeTV as the central management and administration point for their broadcast operations.

ForeTV will form the master repository and origination point for all required metadata, with all workflows between it and MediaFlex being initiated from ForeTV via web services utilising SOAP protocols.

These include, but are not limited to: Meta-data transfer of placeholders for logical content (e.g. Programme, Episode, Programme-Version etc.) and physical content (e.g. Media, subtitles, linked assets etc.), the monitor and transfer of media-time code information, instigation of work-orders for ingest and audio dubbing along with the initiation of work-order status queries.

“This next stage of integration with ForeTV further enhances Astro’s operation” said MSA Focus’ Head of Projects Nicola Sturgess “and helps to provide a truly seamless continuity in data and workflow through which Astro can continue to advance they’re broadcast offerings”
