reddot consulting assists major European broadcaster to implement ForeTV as part of business process review

Amsterdam, IBC 2009, Stand 3.B40 - Lumiere TV (”LTV”), the leading pay television broadcaster based in Cyprus, is to replace its legacy business management system with ForeTV, the end-to-end, integrated broadcast management solution from MSA Focus. Led by reddot consulting, a team of UK-based broadcast consultants, the implementation is part of a review of business technologies at the broadcaster.

MSA Focus, one of the world’s leading specialists in broadcast business management solutions, developed ForeTV to provide an advanced, highly integrated suite of tools to meet the real and sophisticated needs of today’s multi-channel broadcasters. Built on the Microsoft® .NET® framework and using industry standard Windows® native technologies, ForeTV has a modular structure allowing broadcasters to assemble the precise functionality and feature set they require. Lumiere TV will be using the programming, scheduling, media management and airtime sales modules in the initial installation.

According to David Shapiro, the lead consultant for reddot on the LTV project, it is ForeTV’s flexibility which was attractive. “Based on reddot’s understanding of the marketplace and through a comprehensive tender process, we agreed a short list with LTV,” he said. “ForeTV from MSA Focus was chosen because it was the best fit to their requirements.”

"I approached reddot consulting to manage the process of replacing our legacy broadcast management system to meet our requirements while remaining within our budget ", added Dimitris Panteli, IT Manager for LTV.”This led us to select ForeTV which is an excellent product that will align perfectly with our current and future needs. We are very reassured by the professional approach of MSA Focus and look forward to working with them.”

The first phase of the project starts at the beginning of October, when a team from MSA Focus and reddot consulting will be on site to manage the implementation. The system is scheduled to be installed and commissioned in May next year. Because ForeTV is Windows-based, it provides a comfortable and familiar user interface, thus minimising training times and ensuring that staff can concentrate on how ForeTV supports their role and become productive very quickly.

“This is a very exciting contract for us,” said Mark Evans, CEO of MSA Focus. “Working with David Shapiro from reddot, with his extensive knowledge of broadcast business management, we are certain that we will deliver to LTV a system that precisely meets their requirements and is swiftly and successfully implemented.”
