ForeTV provides greater integration with new NDS interface.

ForeTV has taken another step to ease integration issues within broadcast with the inclusion of a new interface to NDS StreamServer. This new interface allows custom, location based EPG templates to be created, stored and dynamically passed to the NDS database using standard http protocols.
EPG information can be modified and updated throughout the scheduling process, meaning that the on-air EPG can be updated in real time.
As well as standard DVB compliance for data elements, the interface also handles:
- Multiple service and date exports
- Series linking
- Repeat grouping
- Push VOD
- Onscreen indicators for items such as Widescreen, dual language, subtitles etc.
- Subscriber offer management
- Subscriber keyword searching
ForeTV provides the ability to define the specific information that will be used within an EPG export and also provide multiple versions, dependant on the technology available within set-top boxes for a particular region.
Once setup, the EPG data flows seamlessly through the ForeTV libraries and scheduling modules to produce a complete export to the NDS StreamServer.
With this and a host of other direct systems interfaces both existing and under development, ForeTV is providing not only ease of use, but ease of integration and implementation – a valuable thing in the fast moving world of broadcast.
