C More Entertainment Streamlines Broadcast Management By Upgrading To ForeTV

20th November 2008

Premium television company, C More Entertainment is set to become the first broadcaster in continental Europe to upgrade to MSA Focus' ForeTV, the world's most advanced broadcast business management system, from the systems developer's legacy system, Perspective.

C More recognised that upgrading the system would enable it to make significant time savings across its operations and also to extend its capability to efficiently support programming, scheduling and rights management.

Unlike traditional systems, which treat each broadcast revenue stream separately, ForeTV offers a consolidated solution for total revenue management, encompassing income from a broad range of service offerings.

According to Anders Lundström, C More: "While we have been extremely happy with the support provided by the Perspective system over the past three years, upgrading to ForeTV gives us the enhanced integration and interoperability we need to support all of our service revenue streams today and also to seamlessly develop the system in the future."

Mark Evans from MSA Focus said: "C More has a broad range of operational requirements and a rapidly expanding array of pay-per-view and premium service offerings. As such, ForeTV's scalability and open systems architecture will not only enable it to handle today's revenue streams but also cost-effectively accommodate further growth in the future."

The C More deal is the latest in a string of new contract wins for MSA Focus since it launched ForeTV at last year's IBC exhibition. Global broadcasters including US-owned networks in Latin America, a playout centre in Singapore and a leading Hong-Kong-based telecoms provider have already invested in the technology.

Thought to be a year ahead of its rivals-in-the-making, ForeTV pioneers the shift from proprietary software to an industry-standard Visual Studio.NET platform for sales, scheduling, media asset management and income analysis.
