Representing the first greenfield implementation of its pioneering broadcast business management system in Europe, MSA Focus has installed ForeTV at the Reykjavík headquarters of Icelandic television station, Skjárinn. The 20-user system is now live.
“ We believe that ForeTV will offer us streamlined, efficient management of our predominantly advertising-based revenue streams,” say Skjárinn. “The fact that the system is based on Microsoft’s Visual Studio.NET platform is a key benefit for us as this will now provide us with enhanced integration and interoperability, a streamlined workflow and greater ease of use.”
" Skjárrin is a youthful, dynamic and fast-growing station with a reputation for innovation. It was the first company in Iceland to offer interactive TV and it has been quick to develop a video-on-demand (VOD) capability, “says Mark Evans of MSA Focus. “We are confident that ForeTV’s scalability and in particular its open systems architecture will enable Skjárrin to cost effectively accommodate further growth and new service development in today’s increasingly complex broadcast environment.”
Unlike traditional systems, which treat each broadcast revenue stream separately, ForeTV offers a consolidated solution for total revenue management, encompassing income from Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), advertising, sponsorship, pay-per-view (PPV), interactive (iTV) and video on demand (VOD).
