MSA Focus Brings ForeTV To Hong Kong: PCCW Orders Industry's Most Advanced Broadcast Management System

Enabling it to maximise revenue streams from sports broadcasting contracts, including exclusive rights to English Premier League football in Hong Kong, PCCW is set to become the first company in Hong Kong to implement MSA Focus' ForeTV, the world's most advanced broadcast business management system.
A long-standing customer of MSA Focus’ legacy broadcast management system, Perspective, PCCW’s decision to upgrade to ForeTV was driven by the solution’s ability to deliver highly efficient live events scheduling. Equally critical was the support it offered PCCW’s secondary events sales and, in particular, advertising opportunities across the region.
Unlike traditional systems which treat each broadcast revenue stream separately, ForeTV offers a consolidated solution for total revenue management, encompassing income from Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), advertising, sponsorship, pay-per-view (PPV), interactive (iTV) and video on demand (VOD).

The PCCW deal is the latest in string of new contract wins for MSA Focus since it launched ForeTV at last year’s IBC exhibition. Global broadcasters including US-owned networks in Latin America, a playout centre in Singapore and IPTV stations in Northern Europe have already invested in the technology.
Thought to be a year ahead of its rivals-in-the-making, ForeTV pioneers the shift from proprietary software to an industry-standard Visual Studio.NET platform for sales, scheduling, media asset management and income analysis.
